Frame to Component

Terms of use

The agreement for using Frame to Component in Framer and for the license you buy for it.

Last updated

The agreement

These terms are an agreement between you, the person who uses the Framer plugin Frame to Component (“the plugin”) or buys a license for it (“you”), and me, Christian Ortiz, an individual publishing as Christian Ortiz Studio (“I”, “me”). By using the plugin or buying a license, you agree to them. Your use of Framer itself stays governed by Framer’s terms of service.

What the plugin does

The plugin reads the frame or component you select in the Framer editor and generates a React component (TSX) with a CSS module or inline styles, a conversion report, and a zip download, as the documentation describes. It doesn’t change your project.

Free use and the license

  • Preview and the conversion report are free, with no account and no time limit.
  • Copying the files and downloading the zip need a license. A license is a one-time purchase, not a subscription.
  • Licenses are sold by Lemon Squeezy, as the reseller (merchant of record). Lemon Squeezy’s terms apply to the purchase itself: payment, receipts, sales tax and refunds. Framer doesn’t take part in the payment.
  • The license is for you. Each key can be activated a limited number of times, as stated at checkout; Remove license key frees an activation. Don’t share or resell your key.
  • The plugin checks the key with Lemon Squeezy, and works offline for 7 days after the last successful check.

Refunds

Refunds follow the refund policy shown at checkout. To ask for one, email support@christianortiz.studio with your order number, or reply to your Lemon Squeezy receipt. If the plugin doesn’t work for you as the documentation describes, tell me, and I’ll either help or refund you within that policy. A refunded key is deactivated. My terms of sale and refunds cover every product I sell.

The code you generate

The code the plugin generates from your designs is yours. You can use, change and ship it however you like, in any project, without crediting me. The plugin itself, its source and its design stay mine.

You’re responsible for having the rights to the designs, text, fonts and images you convert, and for checking the generated code before you use it. The conversion report lists what the plugin couldn’t convert exactly; anything it lists is for you to rebuild.

Acceptable use

Use the plugin only in line with Framer’s terms. Don’t try to get around the license check, copy or redistribute the plugin, or overload Lemon Squeezy’s license service.

Support

Support is described on the support page: email support@christianortiz.studio, and I reply within two business days (Monday to Friday, 5 pm to 9 pm US Pacific Time). There’s no separate service level agreement. The plugin depends on Framer’s editor and its plugin API, and the license check on Lemon Squeezy’s service; I don’t control either.

Your data

The privacy policy describes exactly what the plugin reads, what it sends and to whom, and what it keeps on your device. Your designs never leave your browser.

Warranty and liability

The plugin is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, I don’t give warranties beyond what these terms and the documentation describe, and I’m not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits or lost work. To the extent the law allows, my total liability to you for anything relating to the plugin is limited to what you paid for your license. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law.

Ending the agreement

You can stop at any time by no longer using the plugin. I can deactivate a key that’s shared, resold, refunded or charged back. If I ever stop offering the plugin, I’ll say so at least 60 days in advance on its Marketplace listing.

Changes to these terms

If I change these terms, I’ll update the date at the top of this page and give notice on the plugin’s Marketplace listing before the change takes effect. A change won’t take away what you’ve already paid for.
