Terms of use
The agreement for using Recipe to List, which is Apple's standard license agreement plus the terms specific to this app.

The agreement
Recipe to List (“the app”) is licensed to you under Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (“the Apple EULA”). The Apple EULA governs your use of the app.
The app is made by Christian Ortiz, an individual publishing as Christian Ortiz Studio (“I”, “me”), who is the licensor under the Apple EULA. The terms below add details specific to this app. They don’t take anything away from the Apple EULA; if they ever conflict, the Apple EULA wins. Your use of the App Store stays governed by Apple’s Media Services Terms and Conditions.
What the app does
The app saves recipes you import or enter, builds shopping lists from them, and lets you check items off, send them to Apple Reminders, share them and export your library, as the documentation describes. Your data is stored on your iPhone.
Free use and the one-time unlock
- The app is free to download. The free version holds up to 25 saved recipes, with unlimited lists, items, staples, stores, exports and snapshots, and no ads.
- An optional one-time in-app purchase unlocks unlimited saved recipes. It’s a non-consumable purchase, not a subscription: you pay once, and there’s no renewal and no trial. Its price is shown on the App Store and on the unlock screen before you buy.
- Your data is never locked. Whether or not you buy the unlock, the recipes and lists you’ve saved stay viewable, editable and exportable, and you can always restore your snapshots.
- Purchases are sold and processed by Apple. Restore your unlock on any iPhone signed in with the same Apple Account with Restore Purchases.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies; request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. I can’t issue refunds myself. If a purchase is refunded, the unlock ends: your recipes are kept and stay viewable, editable and exportable, and saving more than the free limit needs the unlock again.
- Features that are free stay free. I won’t move a feature that’s free today behind the unlock or a payment.
Recipes from other websites
Recipes you import come from websites you choose. Their content belongs to their authors. The app saves a copy for your personal use, keeps the link to the source page with the recipe, and shows the source site under its title. Please respect each site’s terms, and don’t republish recipes you don’t have the right to share.
The app reads the recipe data a page publishes. It can’t guarantee that every page imports, or that an import is complete or correct, so check the preview before you save. Sites change, and some refuse automated requests; you can always paste or type a recipe instead.
Accuracy
The app scales and adds up ingredient amounts from the text it reads, and keeps amounts it can’t combine on separate lines. Check quantities, and especially allergens and dietary needs, against the original recipe and the products you buy. Don’t rely on the app alone for anything critical.
Your backups
Snapshots are kept on your iPhone. They help you recover from a mistake, but they’re lost with the iPhone or if you delete the app. To keep a copy elsewhere, export your library or back up your iPhone.
Support
Support is described on the support page: email support@christianortiz.studio, and I reply within two business days (Monday to Friday, 5 pm to 9 pm US Pacific Time). As the Apple EULA says, I, not Apple, am responsible for support and maintenance of the app. There’s no separate service level agreement.
Your data
The app collects no data: your recipes and lists stay on your iPhone. The privacy policy has the details.
Warranty and liability
Warranties and liability are as set out in the Apple EULA. To the extent the law allows, the app is provided “as is”, and my total liability to you for anything relating to the app is limited to what you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law.
Ending the agreement
You can stop at any time by deleting the app; export your library first if you want to keep it. If I ever stop offering the app, I’ll give at least 60 days’ notice on its App Store page or in the app where I can. Copies already on your iPhone keep working with what you’ve unlocked, as far as iOS allows, and your data stays exportable.
Changes to these terms
If I change these terms, I’ll update the date at the top of this page and, for meaningful changes, say so in the app’s release notes before the change takes effect. A change won’t take away what you’ve already paid for.
