Terms of use
Key Result Relay is licensed under the Atlassian Marketplace end-user agreement. These are the provider-specific terms that go with it.
Last updated
The agreement
Your use of Key Result Relay (“the app”), a Jira Cloud app that tracks Objectives and key results in Jira and posts updates about them to Slack or Microsoft Teams, is governed by the standard Atlassian Marketplace end-user agreement (the Bonterms Standard End User Agreement, version 1.0). It’s an agreement between your organization (“you”) and me, Christian Ortiz, an individual publishing as Christian Ortiz Studio (“I”, “me”), as the app’s provider.
What follows are the Provider-Specific Terms that agreement refers to. The same terms are on the app’s Atlassian Marketplace listing. They add to the standard agreement; they don’t replace it.
Buying, renewing, invoices and refunds go through Atlassian, under the Atlassian Marketplace Terms of Use between you and Atlassian.
Provider and notices
The provider is Christian Ortiz, publishing as Christian Ortiz Studio. Send notices under the agreement, and any questions about these terms, to support@christianortiz.studio.
Support policy
Support is described on the app’s support page:
- Email support@christianortiz.studio. Every message comes straight to me.
- I reply within two business days (Monday to Friday, 5 pm to 9 pm US Pacific Time), and usually sooner. Messages marked Urgent, such as updates going to the wrong channel, come first.
- There’s no separate service level agreement: I don’t commit to an uptime figure. The app runs on Atlassian’s platform, so its availability also depends on Atlassian’s services, which I don’t control.
Data protection
The data processing agreement is the Data Protection Addendum for the app. The privacy policy describes exactly what the app reads, stores and writes, where, and for how long.
Security measures
The security measures for the app are the ones in the Security section of the privacy policy. Report security issues to support@christianortiz.studio with Security in the subject line.
Your content and chat messages
The app reads your Jira issues to compute progress and never changes them. It stores the Objectives, key results, check-ins, routing rules and channels your users create in your Jira site’s app storage.
When one of your Jira admins connects a Slack or Microsoft Teams channel, the app posts the messages your users route there: Objective and key result titles, values, progress, check-in notes and, unless a person opts out, owner names. You’re responsible for choosing which channels receive which updates and for who can read those channels. Once posted, messages are held by Slack or Microsoft under your agreements with them, and stay there if the app is removed.
If I stop offering the app
If I ever stop offering the app, I’ll give at least 60 days’ notice and keep it working for paying customers until the end of their paid period.
Governing law
These terms don’t change the governing law or venue. The standard agreement’s own provisions apply.
Changes to these terms
If I change these terms, I’ll update the date at the top of this page and on the Marketplace listing, and give notice in the app’s release notes or listing before the change takes effect. A change won’t reduce what I’ve committed to during a period you’ve already paid for.
