Monthly plans and what every scan includes
What it is
Scout is a market-research tool for people deciding what to build. Describe your idea, or name a market or an audience, and Scout reads what those people already say on Reddit, X, YouTube and the web. It ranks the problems it finds by how badly they hurt, with real quotes from at least three different people for each, every quote linked to the original post. Scout never writes a quote.
Every scan is the whole Scout Launch System:
- Demand scan: every problem in the market, ranked, with the evidence.
- Product picks: products you could build for each problem, what people use today, and the small free version to build first.
- Build spec: a ten-section spec that ends in a prompt you paste into Claude Code or another AI builder.
- Launch kits: the free tool to lead with, a 1, 7 or 30 day plan, and the short videos to record.
- Launch scorecard: your numbers against clear gates, to decide whether to build the paid version.
- First customers (monthly plans): Listening finds people asking about the problem and drafts a reply to each. You review and send every reply yourself; Scout never posts for you.
There’s also a free Idea Check, a quick read of web results for one idea, with no account.
Who it’s for
Founders, indie makers and studios who want evidence that people need something before they build it, and a plan for reaching them once it’s built. You must be at least 18 to use it.
Pricing
Your first scan is free, with every source, the build spec and the launch kits, and no card. After that, there are two ways to pay.
Monthly plans, renewed each month until you cancel. Unused scans don’t carry over.

How you’re charged
Scout is made and sold by me, Christian Ortiz, publishing as Christian Ortiz Studio. You pay by card through Stripe Checkout. Stripe processes the payment; Scout never sees or stores your full card details.
- A monthly plan is charged at the start of each billing month until you cancel. Cancel any time from your account; the plan runs to the end of the month you paid for and doesn’t renew.
- A scan pack is charged once.
- If a scan fails before producing results, or can’t back a problem with quotes from three different people, the scan is returned to your balance.
Refunds
Your first purchase, a pack or the first month of a plan, is refunded in full if you ask within 14 days of paying. Reply to any email from Scout, or email support@christianortiz.studio; no reason needed. Beyond that, payments aren’t refundable except where the law requires, as Scout’s terms say. My terms of sale and refunds cover every product I sell.
